Good question!  Caladiums like warm soil and our soil is unusually cool for this time of the year.  Night temperatures are forecasted to be in the high 40s and mid 50s through the end of the month.  While it makes for pleasant weather it does slow down the growth of some “touchy” plants.

We have a few caladiums in quart size pots ready, but the 4” size are just poking their heads up through the dirt.  As I’ve said before, gardening teaches us patience and this year is no exception.  Hopefully, they will be ready by month end.
