What’s Wrong With My Plant?

I know I sound like a broken record, but every single day we’re asked, “What’s wrong with my plant?“—and so often the answer is simply lack of water. During the intense East Texas summer heat, proper watering is the single most important thing you can do to help your plants thrive.

Make Sure To:

Check your soil to make sure it has adequate moisture.

Water newly transplanted plants every day until they become established.

Watch for Signs of Wilting

Keep an eye out for these common signs that your plants need more water:

• Foliage turning a dull, grayish-green color.

• Leaves that become dry, crunchy, or brown.

When in Doubt, Check the Soil

If you notice any of these symptoms, your plants likely need more frequent or deeper watering. Always check the soil before assuming insects or disease are the problem. Proper hydration is one of the easiest—and most important—ways to keep your plants healthy and looking their best throughout the East Texas summer.
