A Simple Way to Enjoy Camellia Blooms

 

The house I grew up in had several red and pink Camellias planted throughout the yard. I remember my mom would cut a Camellia flower and float it in a shallow bowl instead of placing the flowers in a vase.

Sometimes it would be just one large, perfect flower floating in the bowl—no leaves, no extras, just that beautiful bloom.

Other times, she would float several flowers together in different stages of bloom or include a few of the glossy green Camellia leaves with the flowers.

It’s such a simple way to enjoy Camellia blooms indoors, but it’s something I’ve remembered all these years. Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest impression.
